Continued Development and Growth

In order to maintain the Bariatric Center at Saint Francis as a ‘Center of Excellence’ we will:

  • Comply with guidelines and criteria established by the Surgical Review Corporation of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery
  • Utilize current innovations in the field of bariatric surgery
  • Demonstrate our commitment by continuously striving to meet the needs of our patients and community
  • Participate in educational and informational community programs
  • Foster open communication between our patients, community and our program

Quality Driven Program of Excellence

In an effort to deliver excellent quality of care we will:

  • Provide comprehensive screening for each patient
  • Provide peri-operative education for each patient
  • Pay close attention to technical detail
  • Strive to maintain open and direct lines of communication between patient, the bariatric surgeon and team members

In order to ensure optimal outcomes through successful weight loss and improved quality of life we will:

  • Provide a structured post operative follow-up schedule
  • Provide peri-operative nutritional counseling
  • Monitor individual patient progress
  • Create a prospective research registry that will allow constant review of our outcomes and provide valuable information for improvement
  • Maintain our commitment to education and research
