Rapid Psychiatric Assessment and Stabilization Service
This component of our Clinical Assessment Center will provide a rapid outpatient evaluation (same day or for less urgent within 72 hours) by a Licensed Independent Practitioner to determine how best to meet an individual’s or family’s behavioral healthcare need.
Initial Telephone triage
Our staff will obtain information to determine when there is need for Emergency Medical Care. We may also refer a call to an affiliated treatment provider, if they offer services that are better able to meet a particular caller’s need.
Rapid Assessment Service
A clinician will assess each individual to determine how best to treat his/her problem. Treatment may involve a referral for immediate care through our Rapid Psychiatric Stabilization Service; and to PATH outpatient services; or a direct admission to one of the Saint Francis Inpatient Behavioral Health Units.
Psychiatric Stabilization Service
A Psychiatric Advanced Nurse Practitioners will initiate psychopharmacological treatment at the time of the evaluation, when indicated. Individuals will be scheduled for initial follow up within 7 days. This will bridge any waiting period for an initial visit with a Path PC psychiatrist and psychotherapist for on-going care.
