Patient Safety
Evaluating Safety and Quality Using the National Patient Safety Goals
In order to evaluate the safety and the quality of care provided at our accredited health care organizations, each year the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) establishes National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs). These goals have specific requirements for protecting patients. In our last JCAHO Accreditation Survey, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center demonstrated full compliance with these National Patient Safety Goals.
