Patient Satisfaction

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical center it is our goal to provide our patients and their families with an unsurpassed hospital experience. For this reason, we make sure to provide our patients with an opportunity to provide us feedback regarding their experience.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has begun to publicize national data regarding patients' views of their hospital care. These data offer insight about hospitals in their given communities compared to peer hospitals locally, regionally, and nationally.

Like most U.S. hospitals, we have recently begun using a new standardized tool sponsored by CMS, the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS), to measure our patients' experiences and identify opportunities for improvement. This survey tool is fundamental in Saint Francis' commitment to patient-centered, comfortable, and compassionate care.
