The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides the most sophisticated care available for high-risk newborns. Admissions include sick and/or premature infants who come from the Hartford area as well as neonatal transports from hospitals through northern Connecticut. The Unit combines advanced technology with "high touch" care that creates a quiet, soothing environment that is more conducive to neurodevelopmental growth.
