The 2009 SWING for Saint Francis Golf and Tennis Outing broke all funding records with over $150K raised! This year’s tournament was again held at Tumble Brook, one of Connecticut’s premier country clubs. Tumble Brook features 27 challenging holes of golf that has allowed us to expand our golfer field, improve hospitality and enhance our fundraising efforts for the second consecutive year. With breathtaking scenic views of downtown Hartford and Talcott Mountain, the course exhibits an ambiance fitting to host a first class Saint Francis event.
Also joining us at Tumble Brook were local celebrities Scott Burrell, former UCONN basketball player and current assistant coach at Quinnipiac; Kevin Ollie, former UCONN basketball player and current professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves; and Tom Moore, former UCONN assistant basketball coach, and current head basketball coach at Quinnipiac. Throughout the history of the SWING tournament, greater than $150,000 has been raised.
